MY06 sti de-cat downpipe

Hi there,

Im after a decat down pipe for my 07 sti, not the full decat, just the 1st downpipe section to fit to the standard 2nd cat.

Any of you know the best place to get one from and are they a ball ache to fit? Garage job?

Also, im gona get it remapped soon, looking for 350bhp, perfrormance panel filter should be enough? or cold feed induction.

Feedback will be appreciated!!

Cheers

Shaun

Off hand i dont know of just a decat downpipe, as most of the after market exhuast systems combine the down pipe with the center section thus deleting the two cats. Your probably best going for a decat downpipe with sports cat.

I tell a lie, after burner do a de-cat downpipe. You will probably need to modify the turbo heat shield to get it to fit back on after you put the downpipe. I know a full decat system with just a performance panel filter could reach about 350bhp. Im not sure if you will get that with just a decat downpipe. Hopefully some more knowledgeable guys will reply soon.

yeh but a full decat will fail MOT wont it? cant be arsed with changing it once a year. should still pass with only the 1st cat removed yeah??

Thanks

Hi

My hawkeye has a decat downpipe but I have the under car cat on it to keep it mot legal....

changing the downpipe isn't hard as long as the bolts come undone and you do need to modify the heat sheild if you want to put it back on...

hope that makes sense

Hayward and Scott, Cobra, Ninja, Milltek, to name a few all do decat downpipes which remove the 1st main cat (ie the cat which is closest to front of car and next to turbo). If you leave the second smaller cat (situated in the mid-pipe which is slightly further towards the rear of car) your car will still pass MOT.
