Help, standard WRX Blob-eye coolant reservoir and rad cap pressures?

Hi,

My Rad cap has been leaking (can see a trickle coming from the cap) so I bought a replacement online. The replacement had 108kpa stamped on it.

Before I fitted it, I noticed the existing standard-looking cap on the radiator said something like 137kpa (ish), so I presumed I had been sent the wrong cap. The seller is insisting it is the right cap.

My coolant reservoir currently has a 108kpa cap on it.

Could somebody help me out here, I'm confused! What at the standard cap pressures?

Thanks in advance,
Maurice

Standard Header tank cap have/or must have 1.37bar or 137kpa.
And coolant reservoir must have 108kpa or 1.08bar.

Hi i went to milsport and brought a blitz cap £17.20

"The benefit of fitting a 1.3 bar radiator cap over a standard part is that the boiling point of your cooling system is raised giving a cooler more efficient system. A must have for any tuned (or standard) Impreza."

Never had a prob with temp mate
