For owners of Bowers & Wilkins ( B&W ) speakers.

Hi folks, i found a place called www.technosound.co.uk .I just bought a whole tweeter unit, for my P4 floorstanders & cost 69 notes.Originally was 37 quid, but went up.Priced locally in stafford, i reckon at 100 quid plus.So if you are looking to replace drivers etc try there. They got loads of model choices there.

Good spot - I keep meaning to take my P6s there for a service as the tweeters lose their lubricant over time or something (bought P4s originally and managed to get some immaculate matching P6s off ebay - they sound great in a surround sound set up. Keep thinking about getting a CMC2 in rosenut to match). I do like B&W speakers :)

There are some P5s on ebay, at the mo Gordo.Do you mean you got P4s & P6s together then ?.If so that's quite a setup.

Yes - P6s as the front side speakers and the P4s for the rears. I love them.

I'm running a cheap Eltax centre speaker which is ok for now, plus a (2ft dq) Rel Acoustics Q50 subwoofer. Sounds great despite the age of it all (speakers about 15 years old, Yamaha surround amp about 10 years old). Add a 50inch screen and blu-ray 7.1 output and it's very enjoyable. Shame my other half despises speakers and is threatening to kill me if I buy any more (have a pair of Cambridge Audio speakers attached to an Audiolab 8000A in the office, and an Amp and big Eltax floor standers in an outbuilding which we use for garden parties with an Airport Express and spotify running wirelessly from a laptop). But there are always more speakers required....... :)

Can i come round there and rob the place.

Course you can :) Tell me when and I'll make sure we're all out.

Didn't think many people still had these! I have always wondered if I could upgrade the drive units in my P5s to the types used in later models, any ideas chaps?

I'm currently using mine in a surround system along with 3 CDM-SNTs that I bought for a song. The SNT sounds pretty good as a centre. :D

my B+W setup still sounds fab after 15 years. Hooked up to a sony 940 DTS amp it has give me 1000s of hours of enjoyment over the years.
