Hi Guys and Girls

I m going to remove my backbox from my Subaru and wish to sell on as its too loud for me, but dont know what its worth as I dont want to under or over price it and have it in my garage forever, I had a look about but cant seem to find one out there for sale that I can compare too

I have a 5" Cobra S/S backbox (large round exit) that will fit an Impreza, Its in good condition and if cleaned more, it will shine loads (this is not to say its in bad nick now)

Any ideas ??

(Another what's it worth or should I say for sale thread, a slap in the face for those that pay to advertise).

I did not say I was going to advertise on here and will be putting it up in my local rag (freeads) just asked an honest question. I understand the for sale section and I will be joining as a full member when my new debit card arrives (but cant until then, hopefully it will arrive today).

Just thought I would ask.. as someone might know more about this backbox as I did not buy it new

Its funny that you can pass a scooby on the road and both will still wave or raise a hand to say hi (remembering the days of riding a bike); but come on the largest forum for scooby owners and feel like everyone is haters..

Einstein, I dont know what your problem is, but I m sure your name sake does not offer a true reflection of your state of mind.

If it was such an issue, could you not have put it to me in a different way instead of blasting witty comments and refering to me as one of the same of others who may have tried to use the back door , which I clearly am not..

I admit I am not a full member as yet and I have already offered my reasons, as payment to join is via paypal (one has to have a paypal account to do so) so a little hard to join until debit card arrives.

PS.. I m no sunshine :nono:

I'd have a look on E-bay, get a general idea of what they or similar are selling for and price accordingly - perhaps even sell it on E-bay?

Oh, and one of the reasons I have not become a paid up member on here is the potential for grief - why pay for that?

I had a look on ebay and when I use the refering words I can only seem to find brand new versions which this is clearly not. I dont like ebay due to the high fees and the scammers etc. I always just throw it on my local ads as your buyer is local and pick up is normally quick. But on another note, I m not 100% sure I will sell it, just wanted to know more about the bloody loud box..

The other option is to keep it on but is there a way of bringing down the volume on this kind of backbox ????

you can buy bungs, does the exhaust have a small hole near the tip?

I just searched "Impreza exhaust" and "Impreza silencer" on E-bay, I would say between £70 and £100 would be a fair price.

I have a think about it and if I do sell then I stick it on freeads as suggested @ the start.
