removeing heads v4 type r 98
 
hi,im considering a bit of spanner work,i need to get the heads off my car as they are being matched to a new shortblock im having built,so all i need to do is get the heads off,is it an easy job?whats involved?and how long roughly should it take??any special tools needed?
any info would be gratefully appriciated.:thumb:

Ive managed to acquire a subaru bulletin about doing this can't find at mo:cuckoo:

Off the top of my memory (after removing the ancillaries to gain access!!) It mentions undoing the engine mounts and jacking up the engine a certain distance then moving the engine to the left\right depending on head to be be removed, and lifing the heads out with the headbolts undone but still in place.

Ive never done this job myself but im sure i will be corrected if im wrong!!:D

yeah i can see what your saying,would be nice if there was an almost step by step guide for this so i could see what is involved.somehow i dont think ill be bothering!:o

This is what you need ive got one for my car it tells you everthing not like haynes manuals wrx will be the same job as your sti :thumb:
