You can also consider "Open Source" mapping, if your stock ecu is mappable (I think the my99 is). It's very big in the States, and does the same thing as Ecuteck but cheaper as there's no license to pay.

You are probably mean ESL,but not sure if its available for 99.For your model is available EcuTek,but on classic is not available mafless option/speed density.

Second option will be SimTek,Syvecs,Gems,Link etc.

If you want to run mafless (and with the pish quality MAF the 99-2000 models have it's something to consider) you are looking at a new ECU, as Ecutek does use the stock ECU/MAF.
What are your goals, as I think a second hand Simtek would be spot on for your needs,
Syvecs is probably the better ECU, but for most people the price difference is just to big (cost/object wise), and you do see 2nd hand Simteks popping up from time to time for reasonable money.

Open source is not available for your car, so not an option.

Your best option to run mafless is the Simtek ECU for your model, pm me if you need prices. Although your car can be mapped by an EcuTek dealer as is which usually costs £550+vat. 18G TD05 will get you to your 350 figure without an issue along with the exhaust and FMIC you'll be sorted.

Hope this helps,

Graham
