2.5LTR BUILT/FORGED SHORT MOTOR
 

As above, 2.5l short motor built by TEG SPORT of Carnforth. They are well known amidst the rally scene and have been for years.

The engine was built in December 2009 by Stuart at TEG SPORT. The engine was also removed and Re-fitted by TEG SPORT. It has only done 7k since the rebuild in Dec 2009, which includes the running in period. It hasn’t had a lot a lot of track/sprint use. It’s only ever done 1 sprint day at York as always busy with work and I live to far away to attend lots of events. The car was fitted with a MD321T and is mapped by Steve Simpson who works along side TEG SPORT. (Next door to them)
The engine has been running 1.3 bar of boost at 438.0bhp with no issues at all since it was mapped after being run in. The engine is very smooth and runs and sounds as sweet as a peach. The engine only uses a minimal amount of oil as the majority of all 2.5 engines do. This has been vented to an oil catch can so it’s never been burnt by the engine.

The engine was built with the following spec and is sold with the following:

Re con 2.5ltr open deck block
New 2.5ltr crank
ACL Competition main and big end bearings
Forged H section rods
Wiseco forged pistons
New front and rear oil crank seals
Modified oil pump with 12mm valve

The car will be running at Scooby shoot out on the 22nd of May if anybody wants to see the car perform or hear it running.
I am currently sorting a video to upload for people to view.
I also have the receipt from TEG SPORT which will be sold with the short motor.

The engine will be able to be collected or delivered from middle of June as it will be going in more or less straight after the event on the 22nd to be removed.

Reason for selling is because of upgrading to md321V as wanting as near to 550BHP as poss., and the short motor was only built for 450bhp because of the OD block hence the need to unfortunately upgrade.

Will this lump work in a 2008 Hatch or is the elctronics and such in the hatc not going to work with this.

Vxrt, this will fit as it's only the short engine so your heads and everything else will swop over and bolt on. Cheers
