carbon fibre roof skinning or wrap?
does anyone here or in the west mids do carbon fibre roof skinning or wrapping?
just want some prices my car has a matt black painted roof and it looks ****e, **** job done there just wondered on some prices so i can get this done would prefer skinning tho if anyone does it |
I wouldnt entertain skinning it without a cage....
|
Be careful who does the wrapping - I had my adjustable spoiler blade wrapped by a company in Norwich and it has more bubbles in it than an aero bar! I will be ripping it off and painting the blade myself :(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rTWaV1imzs and about the bubbles in the wrap mate thats why i would prefer skinning over the wrap its mainly for looks, someone painted it matt black and the paint has cracked and looks really rough and a real skin would look good on my silver subaru |
i would say just get the carbon skin to wrap it up would be easier, as i mean the stickers, not the real carbon stuffs. I am having some on the way, do you want to share some carbon stickers with me?

We recently wrapped my brothers roof with the 3M Carbon Vinyl from http://www.carbon-vinyl.com/ - looks great and its a DIY fit. Done us a deal if you email them. This stuff had tiny air channels so you dont get bubbles ;)

way too much hassel, this isnt for track use just wanted to tidy it up a little |
wrap has got to be the winner..........
skin the existing roof or do you mean a replacement panel?? minimal gains and a lot of work |
i was talking about skinning over the top like in that video i posted mate,
any ideas where i cab get a decent job done maybe a place that garantees there work to have no bubbles and not overstretched |
