Too flexible IIRC...............all that bending rubber causes a lot of rolling friction and lack of control.

It's mixing them with radials, then there are problems. dunx P.S. F1 only started using radials in 1977... |

I see.
So if you were to mix them with radials their limitations are exacerbated then. Radials being the superior tyre making the cross ply reach their limits of performance. Have I got that right? |
Just can't mix on same axle as dangerous not common to find them now though
