Thoughts on this one guys ??

Guys says its purely down to a faulty sensor due to having been fitted with a ss exhaust ?? just taxed for 6 months. owned for three years - serviced by a mate/ belts not changed - gulp at 60k ??!!

Lowest he would go would be £3700, worth a try at £3500 or keep looking ???? like the colour / gold 19 alloys but wary about 60k and serviced by a mate - should I be ???

Looks nice, but I've heard it said that while 18s work well on Newages 19s don't.

60k is a low mileage, but plenty around with garage service histories.

Okay cheers mate, car is out at S/ ferry not seen it on your travels before have you ??

any other comments guys ??

andythejock01wrx 29 April 2011 06:16 PM

No I haven't.

You in Edinburgh btw?

jono300 29 April 2011 06:25 PM

Over in Fife mate so not a million miles away from SQ

whats with the h/lamps dont looks normal - aftermarket ?? this lamba sensor or whatver its called could it be the ss exhaust causing it to show up an error light ??

The Pink Ninja 29 April 2011 06:31 PM

Yes m8, Headlights are Morettes £350 of anyones money, Lambda sensor could be on due to de-catted exhaust, ie sensor is giving a high exhaust gas reading triggering the engine light

jono300 29 April 2011 06:43 PM

Okay cheers for the additional info mate, what advantages do the Morrettes give over the standard h/lamps ?? worth offering £3500 after viewing or as suggested plenty more out there with a proper s/h ???

i can say that 19s dont work to well round corners !!I have them myself ! and if i could go bak in time , i would defo get a nice classic for that budget :thumb:

WRX's do not fetch an awful lot of money these days, NickScofield (now clio172, or something) couldn't get rid of his for £2k, eventually sold at auction and again on e-bay a week later for £2.6k.

The 19" wheels ruin the ride (well they did on my car) and the rear spoiler is not an sti item but a cheap copy ..... I'd be very wary of buying a car with the engine light on !
