Carl Davey Manifold Spacers

Been speaking to Carl about getting a set of his new Insulated manifold spacers which have a sealing o-ring inserted in the spacers which do away with the need for costly gaskets. Carl is happy to do a group buy on these if we can get enough names and possibly a group buy on some of his other items.

If you don't know about Carl's parts then have a look around his website he has produced some amazing items to solve issues he found while modding his own car. His fuel rails and alternator relocation kits, as an example, are works of art. I have the original alternator relocation bracket which is superb but the new design is even better. The quality of his items really has to be seen to be believed.

If anyone else is interested can you add your names and once we have some numbers I will see what deal Carl can do for us.

If he can sort out the V4 ones I am in.
Even if they take some months I am happy to pay for them now, and get us all a good discount.

Arch 02 May 2011 03:44 AM

I am sure Carl has the V4 ones but not with integral o-ring. Do you mean V4 with integral o-ring or the V4 normal ones in the link below?

What do you guys want me to do, hang off and see if anyone is interested or see what deal Carl can do with only 5 of us?

Dutch Scooby lover 07 May 2011 04:31 PM

I am in no hurry, so you can wait for more interest.
If other people on the list DO need them ASAP you can talk to Carl.

Either way is fine for me.

Arch 07 May 2011 04:45 PM

I am not in a mad rush either. :thumb:

These are an excellent product.

I guinea pigged the original set of these. One thing to note when fitting, be sure that the viton seals are well located in the spacers before placing onto your heads and do the same prior to refit of inlet manifold.

Arch 12 May 2011 03:38 AM

No one else then?

olliecampbell 14 May 2011 11:23 PM

Damn missed this and just bought a set! They do look good though!

prodriverules 14 May 2011 11:34 PM

sp00ks 23 May 2011 11:02 AM

What's going on with this gb???

Arch 23 May 2011 01:29 PM

Sorry guys waiting on a reply from Carl ref what deal he can do with the numbers we have, but i think he might be offshore at the minute. As soon as I get a reply I will let everyone know.

Arch 23 May 2011 08:28 PM

Ok guys I have spoken to Carl and he can offer a 20% discount on the spacers.

So the integral spacers for V5 and onwards work out at £88 inc special delivery. These ones are ready to go and would be shipped next week.

The earlier ones for Ver 1-4 will take 4 weeks to get ready and dispatched but if paid for now will also attract the 20% discount and also work out at £88 including special delivery.

As for the lads who were after the non o-ring type (not sure why you would) and the header tank spacers I am sure if you contact Carl direct he may do the 20% discount as part of the GB but not sure about the header tank spacers as there is prob little margin in them, but worth asking.

I have known Carl for a number of years and can vouch for the quality of his products and he is well respected for the work he does and is as honest as they come. The products he produces are works of art and will do exactly as it says first time. This Group buy is really so Carl can get these items out so that everyone can see the quality, I have doubts if it will be repeated so if your waiting thinking mmm will order later I wouldnt, I would order now.

Carl has requested payment via Paypal as a gift to enquiries@carldavey.co.uk this is the same email address to use for any queries or for other items not specifically as part of the GB. When paying can you make sure you quote the Scoobynet GB and include details of which version you need and also your scoobynet user name.
