mega

This was done with just G101 All purpose cleaner, I have been told that Asda do an APC which is nearly as good as the G101 which can be had for £1.00.

what mix did you use

greatgonzo 02 May 2011 10:58 AM

4-1 for an engine bay or even 2-1 if there's a lot of oil/grease. sooooo much cheaper than using a degreaser and a lot more versatile.

Did you need to cover anything before using the hose pipe on the bay?

greatgonzo 02 May 2011 04:54 PM

Personally I don't but you need to be sensible with the hose, if you have a multi spray function on the end of the hose set it to a rain/shower setting and rinse quickly rather than soaking it.
I have always done it like this and never had any problems, but if you feel like you need to cover electrical bits and pieces then tin foil wrapped around the components is a good way of doing it :thumb:
