P1 front lip spoiler for a classic
Hi,
I've just bought an unused P1 lip spoiler and want to check if its an original or a copy. I have been assured its definately a prodrive one. What do I look for, its one piece and flexible. How do I fix it to the bumper (how many screws/bolts) and at what locations. Photos would be a great help. Many thanks. Dawg. :thumb: |
The original costs 389pounds from Prodrive
It has a removable section for the tow eye, it actually protrudes under the car, basically a fully functioning splitter not just a piece of eye candy.. here's a link for the real thing http://www.prodrive.com/products_lev...ml?id=100&p=12 |
As above, it sticks backwards about a foot or more under the car. It was made of black ABS, so yours ought to be marked "ABS" somewhere, probably the underside.
Not sure about fixings though. |

Thanks for the information, it looks just like the one in the prodrive picture. The guy I bought it off (150.00) works in a spray shop and they undertake work for the local subaru dealer. I bought it knowing that the towing eye cover had been lost, hopefully subaru or prodrive may have spairs.
Is ABS very flexible as the lip spoiler I have is. Thanks again for you help. Dawg.:thumb: May the burble live on  |
Yes, it' almost "chewy" it's so flexible, but when it DOES go, it goes suddenly, so only test it SO far;)
If you have difficulties sourcing a towing eye cover, there is a company makes P1 replicas just like that, they advertise on e-bay, their HAS such a cover and they may sell you one as a one-off. |
