Thanks to Alan & Martyn Jeffery (EngineTuner)

I thought I would put up a special thanks to the guys at Enginer Tuner and their customer service.

Had a few mods fitted over the last couple of weeks, ready for Martyn to map during my holiday in Cornwall last week. Arrived at the garage last Monday with new injectors and SimTek in hand, all ready to be fitted and mapped. Martyn fitted the SimTek and continued to put a base map on ready for full mapping but couldn't control the idle. After a little while and a returned email from the ECU manufacturer, the ECU was diagnosed as faulty and had to be returned for a repair.

As their courtesy cars were all out, Martyn removed the SimTek from his personal car and proceeded to put a base map on followed by a safe map to get my car running well so I could drive it and return when the ECU had been sent back. Mapped it on the rollers and that went perfectly well, producing around standard power (it was running c330bhp previously). He then took it on a quick test drive. Whilst on the test drive it develpoed a severe problem, Knocklink went nuts and oil pressure dropped to below 1bar

After a very long silence from myself and the mrs, Alan very kindly gave me the keys to his Pajero so that we could finish our holiday and have a think about what we wanna do with the Scoob :luxhello:

We finished the holiday and returned the Pajero yesterday, having decided to keep the Scoob on the drive until next year when I'll be putting a much stronger engine in it :thumb:

I called the AA out and the flatbed was with us within 90mins  and we were home 4hrs later!! :)

I can honestly say Engine Tuner are a great bunch of guys and will help anyone in a predicament out given a chance :king:

Now that is what I call customer service. Good stuff.

So have they said what caused the engine to go?

Big end bearings Steve! The engine is on 99k so it was inevitable! Time to save now and find a £400 car to cruise about in :lol1:

It was great to see you, despite the circumstances, glad to help. If nothing else, our weather was kind!
