engine and gear box removal
 

Soon I am going to be in the process of swapping engines around on my Imprezas. Can the engine and gear box come out together? If so, is it an easy job or am I better removing them separately?

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

for the sake of 4 bolts and a release arm i'd seperate the box from the engine, it'll make getting it in and out sooo much easier.:)

well , we always drop the whole lot out of the bottom , much easier and safer on the new cars we work on .
