PRO-R at Oulton Park saturday

I had a long chat with All the Guys at PRO-R at Oulton
This does seem a VERY interesting new development working along side of SUBARU UK but not exclusively UK cars though ;)

There has been a void left by Prodrive as they have moved on to pastures new. Pro-R say with some very big and well known partener, their Tuning and handling ranges will fill this Gap. And If a UK owner you will still retain a 3 year UK warranty

It does look like they are getting all the right people on board :norty: As I did speak to Mike Wood, ex-Prodrive PPP and handling guru (if you own a RB5, P1, WR1, RB320 or 330s he would have had a very big input on them all) I also chatted to another "expert" Paul Cowland from TSL Motorsport Fame.

Although there WEB site http://www.pro-r.co.uk/ is not up and running yet you can enter your Email to be informed when Ready.

I'm hoping they will be competitive, but only time will tell

Never heard of pro R how long they been about for and where they based?
Can't see anyone filling the gap prodrive left behind.....talking years of experience and a great partnership with Subaru through the WRC.

time will tell, the issue they will have is with the brand, as above no real brand name like Prodrive

Sorry meant prodrive subaru production car tuning and development and not the WRC side of things.

They have just up and running with A time attack car but not certain where based. They did have RCM Logos on shirts along with Alcon etc etc

They seem to have large backing and uk owners keep their warranty.

From the magazines, Pro-R are Subaru's preferred tuning partner ( in lui of Prodrive ) for customer cars, and the range of parts will be warranty friendly, fitted at your dealer ( or possibly at Pro-R ?? ).

Suggested parts were exhausts, induction, handling items.

So in essence we are only talking about the possibility of the PPP type deal but under a new name? Too little too late imo, especially when there is a whole tuning community that is, dare I say, much better geared up. Of course this would be an entirely different situation if Subaru UK were actually selling enough cars to warrant any such venture, which I some how doubt they are. IMO the market is getting more niche by the month.

Yes your right from what I gather, although they did say they were prodominantly for UK Subarus but not exclusively so ;)

Yes I assume so, a "Pro R Peformance Pack" would retain 3yr waranty but other n on waranty'd "packs" may be available.

They didn't seem to have issue supplying non-UK/EU cars. hence they are using "Partners" like Roger Clarke Motorsport etc etc but early days and time will tell ;)
