STI Version 3/4 Type R Heads

One pair of STI Version 3/4 Type R cylinder heads complete with all valvetrain and covers. These have the narrower diameter under bucket shims from the Type R, and were removed from a fully working car with no engine problems. Rocker gaskets weren't even leaking !

They have been checked over by Headshop UK Ltd, faces cleaned and are ready to fit. These heads do not need skimming.

Internal photos taken before removal from the engine block, external taken today. The odd black mark is only a bit of carbon, the faces are smooth and there is no cracking around the spark plug holes.

Price is £395 including next day uk mainland courier delivery insured to their value (not just £50 !). Can include a set of plastic pulleys at no extra cost if needed. Debit or credit card payment accepted, discount negotiable for cash on collection from Warrington. Please PM if interested. No paypal due to item value and their excessive fees.

Thanks

Ken

Yes, they will go straight on. The only difference is that the Type R has narrower under bucket shims than the standard sti.

These have under bucket shims, made a mistake in the ad  Just edited it.

will there be problems with them being narrower though?

No, my understanding is that the narrower ones are just stronger. The full heads will go straight on your sti4 bottom end and the valves, cams and everything will work fine.

No they don't. This engine is identical to every other V3/4 STI engine.

I stand corrected then, I was informed the type r heads had narrower shims :o

There's a difference between the WRX engines and STI engines. The WRX has over bucket shims and the STI has under bucket shims but the Type R engine is identical to the STI one. :)
