Whats max psi
 

Dose anyone know if it is safe to run a standard impreza 2000 on 16 psi

If its a turbo then yes very safe.... mate runs 30 sometimes, 24 and thats safe

30 psi? 2 bar? hope its been fully rebuilt to run that. 24 psi is pretty high for a standard engine (1.6bar is)

standard uk engine you prob dont wanna go too much higher than 1.4bar peak circa 20, anything higher than that and your pushing it.

Things to consider Ant; Turbo and more importantly fuelling. I'm not familiar with what the UK's run as standard.

Have to say i assumed it was being mapped, as said don't just up the boost without getting it sorted properly

Mine eventually seemed tired after running >2 bar for the last year, a big blower is easier to map safely than a tidgy one at breaking point...
