Dump Valve Venting Under Acceleration

Hey guys,

I got such responses and advice from previous questions so I;m here again with another puzzler!!

I have a 2003 WRX with a Bailey Dump Valve which was working fine, however over the last couple of days, the Valve seems to be venting when lifting off throttle as per normal but when under hard acceleration, as soon as I change gear - it vents once as usual but seems to be venting again once I re-apply throttle making the car very hesitant.

Could the valve be leaking or something similar. Only seems to affect it when i'm really giving it the beans - say 5K revs and over otherwise it's fine. I had a quick look around and couldn't see anything obvious - no loose pipes or anything.

As always, any advice would be GREATLY appreciated as this is soooooo annoying!!

weak spring, Baileys arent great anyway, you would be better off with a standard recirc valve

Split diaphram.

Baileys are crap (DV12) anyway.

possibly a knackered diaphragm as mentioned above.

personally I'd just put the standard valve back on, they are more than capable..
