I’m starting the planning process for “Northern Meet II – The Sequel”. Probably looking 2nd or 3rd weekend in January, again meeting in a close-to-Pennines-close-to-M62 location. Then heading out for drive – although this time better signposted/detailed! (unless anyone enjoyed the mystery tour element!).

We managed a tremendous 51 attendees for the meet on 7th November, so with better planning, it promises to be another good meet. Anyone with a favourite pennine(-ish) based route, please email me rough description so I can start to plan around it, likewise anyone able to lend a hand with the logistics of signposting/’marshalling’ the route, please likewise mail me.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, anyone able to/interested in attending, please mail me direct with preferred dates etc to try and make this one sequel that improves on the original!

Thanks – and ‘start spreading the news’

Gary

I'll put my thinking cap on . . . . I'm sure Darren & I can help.

Also may I suggest a run into North Yorkshire (say in the spring when the weather is better?). My mate Mark (passenger in my car) lives in York and is an expert on all the back roads of North Yorkshire so I'm sure we could do a route . . . .

C'mon guys let's do another BIG meet

2 or 3 suggestred routes starting around Rochdale/Saddleworth then heading north towards Skipton/M65.

Keep em' coming, will 'recce a couple of routes this side of Xmas.

Thanks also for the offers of help to signpost the route to ensure it is easier to follow, though could always use more though......

Interest levels at this stage are higher than at similar time for the last meet - so the record 51 looks beatable!

Keep spreading the word.....

Paul - will your car actually be ready by then?

Mine will be, hopefully in for mods, while I'm in St Lucia - but I'll give you a run for your money when I get it back (got to run it in for about 1000 miles before I can increase the boost up, over about 1.4 bar then - lets see how the prodrive pack stands up to a few - extra mods

Yes, we'll be there. Have a few ideas about the roads over Saddleworth and Holmefirth area. I'll have a play with the map and send my 2p worth.
