removing wing to fit cold air feed how?
recently purchased drivers side fog light cover to start and introduce a forced cold air feed.
will i need to remove the bumper and wing to arrange the pipe i shall be using is it a one man job or best to get scooby world to do it? |
If you remove the air box you can reach into the wing and pull it through yourself.
Don't even need to take the bumper off. |
It's fiddly, but easily achievable on your own, did mine only yesterday. You need to remove the headlights, grill and move the wheel arch liners to get to all of the fixings for the bumper. Again, all of the bolts expect 1 for the wing are accessible - the final one needs the sideskirt removing. The skirts and bumper are all pop fittings and if you have a look around it is fairly obvious what needs to be done:thumb:

brill that sounds easier, what size pipe would you recommend?

3 inch pipe:thumb:

I did mine really easy...
just had to remove the inner wheel arch lining (few pop clips) and you can get to every thing and then the air box to get the pipe feed in |
I found the trick was to tie a weight to a piece of string and drop it into the hole on the inner wing, hand through the foglight hole from the outside, grab string and pull through. Tie flexible hose to string and pull back through the inner wing.... Didn't remove the liner or wing :D
