CB Radio Fitment
Afternoon all!
Got my CB radio arriving tomorrow or Monday, so fitting will begin shortly. What I wanted to know is: - Have those of you who have them fitted got any tips for fitting them? - Where have you mounted the unit? Can you supply pictures? - Did you have any problems installing it? I've just finished my audio "enhancement", so I'm not shy about pulling trim etc up, just looking for some tips from people who know how :D Cheers, Alex |
we have all (generally) put them between the centre console and the passanger front seat, some have screwed into the plastic trim, some have used heavy duty sticky tape, some have simply slotted it there in place............
Stu kindly made me a clever bracket that bolts to the passenger seat frame and holds the main unit in position as above............ Ill take a pic over the next few days if ive totally confused you......... |
Ah I see, cheers H.
I was thinking of using a DIN adapter and fitting it under my head unit, but it's £15 just for the adapter! So how easy are they to install? Do I have to splice wires for the power etc? |
Cool, the 80's are back, "This is Big Boy calling Rubber Goose do you read me, over" :lol1:
|
they are a piece of pee to fit, especially if you just use the cig lighter (plug and play) you can "hardwire it in" if you are handy with basic electrics.........
we did a mass fitting when we got ours at my house, took approx 20mins per car (that included neatly running wires under rear seats and plastic side mouldings. |
