What Geometry settings do you have with your BC coilvers.
Hi, I will be fitting my BC BR series coilovers and rear camber bolts to my 2005 STI UK this weekend (as they were cheaper than buying two rear shocks from Subaru) and will be getting the alignment set up Monday, So was wondering what camber and toe to go for the above model, Car is otherwise standard suspension/wheel wise and will be used as my daily car so i don't want anything to aggresive or tyre consuming, Just a good all round set up for the daily commute to work and a bit of fast road at the weekend, It will probably never see a track.
Also any tips on setting up the height on them as i don't want it too low, just a bit lower than standard. Thanks in advance. |
Have this on my 2003 sti.
2 deg neg camber front 1.5 deg neg camber rear front toe 0 rear toe 1mm toe out height 14" front 13.5" rear center of wheel to wheel arch. dipster |
I did not need the rear camber bolts on mine and lowered it 15mm all round.
I think you only need the bolts if you are going for big camber Who is doing the alignment? |
Thanks for the reply, What is the tyre wear like with that set up and do you drive your car daily?
|
I have a very similar set up to davedipster and i the wear seems normal, nothing that makes me think my tyres are being eaten
|
As above, wear is normal.
The rear BC struts have slotted holes so camber bolts are not needed, you can get around -4 degrees on the slots. dipster |
O.k thanks, going to have the alignment done at scoobyclinic.
|
Surely the Clinic should know what settings are good? I'd just go with what they recommend.
|
They usually say to go for the prodrive settings and I had that on my classic and didn't think much to it, so want to try some different settings, maybe they offer a different setting to the prodrive on a newage, I'll have a chat with them when I'm there about it.

Tell them what you use it for...
I don't do high mileage, so run a similar set-up to the above. No abnormal wear to be seen. dunx |
Thanks for your input people.
