I'm not sure what you mean............it's a mesh grille :)
Have you seen a photo of something you like ?? Shaun |
Hi Shaun, yes they come in stainless steel or black but you only get them for standard bumpers like bug/blob/hawk i have the sti prodrive style bug and the lower front gap is slightly diffrent sized, so having to modify the grill to fit the gap.
so now it fits the gap nicely but i need a frame for it basically to run right round the outside so it looks like it has not been trimmed if your with me:wonder: i did wonder lot of views no replies dont think i explained it well as was expecting to get a few ideas lol |
How about a silicone or rubber black tube split with a knife so that it covers the mesh and sits against the bumper ?

Depends on the finish you want but I've used some window/door seal like this:wonder:

perhaps a silcone tube/hose if could get one small enough as that would go round the corners ok, i have had a couple of ideas but not that, obviously i want it to look decent so my mind has went blank with this one, usually not bad lol.

thats a good find as well jon!! as the outside looks around the 3-4 mm roughly how maluable do you think this would be going round it as the corners as fairly tight, what did you use this on?
something like this would work if was bendy enough as could just slip on outside and run it round, see i was more thinking something to bond to the front like a frame but whatever gets the job done for aesthetical purposes |
I've used this to shape around the inner wing opening for my TMIC pipework and cold air feed - it is quite malleable and will work around simple curves, ateotd it is designed to run the curves on door frames and boot frames:thumb:

i may just try some of this then see what it's like...cheers
