I don't believe it!

I've just received the mail this morning and in amongst the usual junk is a envelope from Buckingham Palace - the crest clear on the top of the letter and, oddly, no stamp!! But it arrived all the same!

In it is an invite to the Royal Wedding on 29th April 2011 ..... the representative from the area is unable to make it and my name came up as an upstanding pillar of the community and would I like to attend in their place!

Now, OK, I am second choice ... and I had a street party arranged for the day ... but what should I do? They need to know by tommorrow morning!

An invite for the royal wedding? You're in esteemed company together with the butcher, baker, landlord, couple who run the Spar even the postie. (Wonder he "found" his invite? ;) )

I guess you will be driving your Honda Diesel to the Royal Wedding,or you being taken by Helicopter as part of the invite..

pslewis 03 April 2011 11:19 AM

I would take the Honda Diesel ... but fear it will be seen as just showing off - so, I guess the helicopter is the way to arrive low key!! :D

Leslie 04 April 2011 11:07 AM

Don't forget to take a large plastic bag to put the rubbish in while you clearing up up the mess when it is all over!
