Questions for the Double edge razor users.
 

Well I'm a convert now :D. Bought a cheap Merkur DE ealier this week and just used it and only got 2 nicks :luxhello:

But now have a couple of questions, I know my technique will improve with practice, and I still ahve a couple of rough patches, mainly round the corners of the mouth and jaw edges.

1 of the things I noticed is it likes sticking to my face! Being a plastic might be 1 of the problem, would a metal one help with this.

2nd question, would this be a good razor to jump in with both feet? I have a feeling that my bathrooms going to end up looking like a pimps boudiur!

Also got to sort out a soft water supply for lathering, the razor looks like its been sprayed white from the limescale / soap.

That looks like the old Wilkinson Sword razors from years ago

bic all the way, i don't shave much and its probably down to the fact that ive only ever used bic single blades..
unlike my friends who use mach3/4 etc they have very rough skin and have to shave every 2/3 days!

get metal!! something like that (can be had cheaper).

had one for 4 years now and love it, the weight really helps balance the razor.

merkur make new (metal) razors but i love retro **** so vintage it was.

look up shavemyface and badgernadblade forums for razor reviews.
