I imagine that waiting this long he wants to tell the whole world!!! :D

12 weeks is considered safe, but keeping quiet won't stop anything going wrong, it just stops people feeling sorry for you.

Congratulations mate. Been a first time dad myself two weeks tomorrow. Tiring work mind but the good times lay ahead.
