6 speed conversion remember u change the rear brakes
Hi everyone some might know this, i didnt i completely missed it till i was putting the car back together. ive just put a 6 speed conversion from a 2002 into a 97 sti had everything sorted it all went on no bother till i went to put the rear brakes back on, the new hubs need a 190mm handbrake drum on the discs the old ones need a 170mm drum so they wouldnt fit so had to get a new set of Ksports an now stuck with a set that wont fit. Expensive mistake even once i sell them ive still lost a bit of money

I also did the conversion on my 97 sti though my 6 speed had a 3.9 front diff so i bought a 3.9 rear diff from an earlier classic so i didnt need to change the rear brakes as it just fitted to the standard driveshafts.
