1994 JDM import info wanted

Hi there just wondered if anyone on here knew much about early JDM imprezas. I have bin told i have got a JDM impreza but wanted to find out abit more about it. I was told its got a RA engine, and wondered if its got forged internals. Could anyone advise me on how much bhp i could take it to.
Its currently got, fmic, decat, 3" exhaust from turbo back, adjustable fpr, induction kit, 440cc injectors, TD05 16g Turbo, stainless headers with uppipe, parell fuel mod, throttle body coolant delete mod, walbo fuel pump, external oil cooler, apexi power fc, oil catch can.

suppose it depends on what spec the engine was built to as to how far you could take bhp wise but if no proof of build/spec would not go mad with power

my mate has your spec and has 352bhp at 1.4bar, but thats maxing maf,440's and 16g, you would need to go maffless,550cc+ and 20g to get up to 400bhp

Hi, If you use the attached link http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html you can see what engine your car had from standard. As your car has been modded - by you or do you know who did what to it? - it doesn't mean that it is still as per the original spec.

It sounds like you are at the top of its output without spending shed loads of cash

how do i got maf-less? i was thinkin of getting some 550cc injectors td05 20g etc, do you think the engine will take it, its just had a rebuild. Thanks for the replies people

You would need an ecu like a simtec these fetch for around £450-600 s/h
coupled with 550s and a 20g @ around 1.4 bar should be 380-400bhp and you are at the max of a orignal engine,
id think with your spec id just get a simtec and 550s mapped at 1.4bar and enjoy 350-360bhp keeping the engine in its limits and no maff to worry lol
or add a 18g 360-385bhp

Just remember a 350-360bhp classic is as quick as a 420bhp later evos and scoobs and will leave most cars on twisty roads!
