GC8 SYMS RACING TEAM HEADERS

SOLD TO A GENUINE SCOOBYNETTER IN THE NETHERLANDS

I have a set of these awesome 4-2-1 equal length headers available.

These are one of the finest quality headers available on the market for the GC8 classic Impreza and cost over £1,500 to buy new from Japan! They are in a completely different league to the stuff we get here in the UK, a true work of art with perfectly formed pipework and machined stainless steel flanges!

In excellent used condition, all slip-joints are nice and tight as they should be etc.

Here is some information which i have translated directly from the SYMS Racing Team website:-

EXHAUST HEADER WRX/22B
SYMS's has arrived at a total tuned exhaust system. When the cylinder is in the exhaust position, the other cylinder's inhale or exhaust valve gathers at the exhaust manifold opened, the exhaust gas energy wouldn't turn the turbine and would escape to the cylinder. (= blow down) It needs the "4 in to 2 layout" to prevent this from occurring. SYMS exhaust manifold has been completely designed for the exhaust system through pushing the turbine by its joined front side CYL 1 and CYL 2 and the backside of CYL 3 and CYL 4. These are then forced into an independent stage, until just short of the activation of the turbine. Therefore dramatically increases the engine ability to spool up faster at lower RPM. When compared with other exhaust manifolds, SYMS uses narrower pipe compared to other exhaust manufactures especially the primary. The reason for the narrower pipe is to speed up the flow of exhaust gases. (It is common knowledge that smaller diameter pipe do two things. 1-Exhaust gases speed up. 2-Helps maintain high exhaust gas temp to improve flow.) Also, the flange is part of the air-funnel, forming a smooth connection with the engine's exhaust port. SUBARU's engine is all made of aluminum. Therefore, the port-flange-span changes 2-3mm between cold and hot. It needs the sleeve-flange for absorbing the changes in the span do to the expansion of heat. A slip-joint of double structures has been implemented that consist of an airtight-slide-sleeve for the savings in endurance and high-pressure exhaust gas.

You can see info in Japanese here www.syms.jp and prices to buy new here http://www.japanparts.com/db/parts_d...=35&submit.y=9.

These headers will optimise spool-up/response of your turbocharger and midrange torque. They are not 'big-BHP' headers which compromise torque for top-end power, and they are ideally suited to smallish turbochargers running up to around 350-400bhp maximum.

I'd like £400 or near offer for these, which is a very fair price for a really top-notch set of headers (a quarter of what they cost new!).

I can arrange shipping to anywhere in Europe at buyers cost.

Serious enquiry's or offers only via PM please :thumb:
