Japan Tsunami Video - Shot from a sea wall

I ran a quick search, this was only uploaded into youtube yesterday.

It's long, but the before and after shows how the waves rose.

As the first comment states, "my jaw dropped at the end when the sea finally pushed over the last sea wall... holy sh*t"

This one was released yesterday. Early on you see a man on top of a building. Two minutes in, the building has gone!!

It has been posted by CBS so you have to put up with an advert at the beginning.

And they would have had around a 4 minute warning for that? :( ...If at all, that's some scary cr@p

(But on a lighter note, Kirk has gone to sh1t!!)

Watching that first video it looks like the tide is out at the start of the video (or it could be the draw back like we saw in the Thailand tsunami).

If the tide is out they are lucky - if it had been high water it would have been even worse.

Here, here brother. I have long made the point that we are not in charge here. the world need only twitch its muscles and we don't even know what hit us. And to think that we believe driving around in our little cars and burning fossil fuels controls what happens. Ha....who do we think we are.

That makes it looks even more horrendous.

I have a feeling that the woman getting into her car at 30 sec didn't make it. You can see a number of cars being swept away at 45 sec.. :(

I think the person filming the first video must have been cacking their pants towards the end, when the water came over the break-water -- i don't think he had anywhere to go after getting to the top of the steps !!
