Sad news

Saw it coming last year, i.e. I read the sleeve notes on "The Dance" Maxi alluded to it on there.

At least their last album was quality, saw them many times and always a good night out, best gig was Glasto in 2002 for me.

Got to admit, I think they've stagnated with the newer stuff IMO. :( Last album was not too bad.

Superb live though.

Wonder if they will do an Orbital in a few years?

Sad news indeed, I've been a big fan for many years.

Their live shows were the best I've ever been to, with the absolute best being in Hull of all places a few years ago.

Never saw them live and I'm a bit gutted about that now, seen just about every other dance act that puts on a good live show (Orbital, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Underworld, Moby, The Orb....). :(

Gutting news but best to shone twice as bright but half as long. Think they've been together longer than 15 years though... 1994 they wrote insomnia for the 95 release I'm sure?

surely one of the most overrated 'bands' ever! they did insomnia or whatever it was called, then fiddled with it every two years, talked a different set of words over it then released it as something else. they did this for 15 years, money for old rope.
their place has now been taken by pendulum ha ha! another overrated dance act!

:lol1: Actually couldn't agree more. Pendulum is just wank music for the more pretentious dance music fan.

They have made some quality music... Insomnia always bring back great memories of the 90's. I saw them once live about 10 years ago at Wolverhampton Civic Hall, superb.
