Yeah he did say something along the lines of **** *** lol.

Been fitting a new volt and water temp gauge over the weekend..

Had to remove part of the centre dash and cut a carbon panel to fit then drill as required.

Mallory Park - haven't been there since I was a nipper.

I remember seeing an R32 Skyline in a race and no one really knew what it was. Lapped the field a couple of times then packed up. :)

New up-pipe needed then, not to bad i thought :p

O no nothing is ever that simple!
The uppipe has been welded to the headers, cant see how ill be able to cut this so may need some new headers! :nono:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...1/IMG_0432.jpg

Anyone know how ill cut that off?

If not which headers shall i go for? Decision time :)

Thank you ;), im not sure but ill see if i can fond out :)

Turned up today..

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...1/IMG_0439.jpg

Going to have to do a bit of grinding i think.

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...1/IMG_0437.jpg

Old headers:

New set:
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...1/IMG_0441.jpg

Anyway next problem is trying to refit my EGT sensor, anyone know where i can get a new bung from as mine is welded to the old up-pipe..Or will be even better if anyone knows a way i can fit it into the lambda probe hole?..im a little stuck..

Fuzz 20 May 2011 10:19 PM

There is no dump valve Edgaras:D

Gavin,
It's only an EGT sensor that has snapped off. You don't "need it".. although the A-pillar EGT gauge wont work obviously) it's not needed for the general health and well being of the car, only a defi sensor..

I'll weld that back on for you if you like.
Hopefully do a better job this time as well. :o
Think I probably welded the boss on with mild steel wire onto the stainless up pipe.
Never a good combo (well I suppose about 6 years isn't too bad haha.)

Fuzz 20 May 2011 10:22 PM

Oh and no I don't want another set of headers to grind. :p
The first ones tried my patience enough. :D

Hi Andy,
Yeah i was going to just get the hole welded up but id be annoyed the EGT gauge was no longer working.
The up-pipe is now shot as i had to cut it off in order to get the headers off the car because its welded to the headers...The headers are fine (but would need the remaining part of the up-pipe cutting off) but i saw these over on 22b and for £330 delivered for a set of brand new RCM headers i Could't resist.
Ive spoken to a few people about these headers and both RCM and Havey have said they dont need porting?
Strange.
Anyway can you port them Andy cus i use a garage for my RX7 stuff and they said they would be able to do them but you know the car etc so id rather you did them.:)

Fuzz 21 May 2011 12:54 PM

I think I'll pass the buck to your rx7 guys for the porting.
Grinding stainless is such a ball ache. :o
Appologies for welding the up pipe solid, I was sick of that joint constantly blowing.
You can get it out in one piece, you just had to jack the engine up a lot first. Never mind, too late now. :D

gavin876 22 May 2011 10:05 AM

Ok no probs I'll get done hopefully next week if I have time then book it in for a remap with you. Going to start running Meth also so be interesting to see what numbers it runs. :-)

gavin876 16 July 2013 07:54 PM

Right the time has come to get back to it and sort this thing out, its been sat in the garage for the last 18 months due to splitting with the ex and having no money and all that kinda rubbish!...

It has white-line anti roll bars etc and im just going to replace the drop links and bushes in those to tighten it all back up.

Anyway i need some new suspension, looking to spend under 1k on it so any ideas or recommendations anyone? And ive been out the game for a while so help is really needed :)

JonMc 16 July 2013 08:00 PM

Coilovers:wonder: if so HSD or BCs are good value:thumb:

gavin876 17 July 2013 10:26 AM

Yeah I gathered that :)! Ok ill take a look at some HSD or BC sets.. Cheers :)

gavin876 23 March 2017 10:52 PM

I'm looking into breaking this now, been sat in the garage the last 4 years.. anyone interested ?

yabbadoo4 23 March 2017 11:11 PM

get a list of parts up, im sure there will be interest

gavin876 24 March 2017 08:05 PM

It's the shell I'd need a buyer for really, it's a full welded in cage, top spec.. I'll try dig out the post where fuzz did it

gavin876 21 July 2019 07:38 PM

Don’t suppose anyone has some decent 2nd hand shocks for sale?
