Richard Askew 16 April 2002 07:54 PM

Well, its finally caught up with me...

..been given 6 weeks notice as of today so it looks like I'm unemployed as of the 28th May. :(
They're looking to cutback and my name was at the top of the list:

1) The first week I used the MD's car park space and he's hated me ever since

2) I'm one of the last in..

3) The net logs have been produced from the last 3 months in 3 A4 ring binders

Last nights logs alone produced 147 A4 pages..!!!!!!!

..I'm not gonna be online in the day as much now 'cos they still have the option to boot me with zero notice..so I'm not gonna push my luck..

If anyone can help with a Sales Management position in any field/or need someone who can Risk Assess please let me know...preferably a job which will allow me to continue on SN...or allow me to work in the field of motor trade/ scooby sales/ accessories etc etc

Oh well toodle-pip I'm off to hang myself :(

Mr.Manchester 16 April 2002 07:57 PM

logiclee 16 April 2002 08:05 PM

Sorry to hear that Richard.

Hope its not going to change your wedding plans or Lotus ownership :(

Maybe a doorway to something bigger and better.

Best of luck.

Sorry to hear your news.... But look at it as a challenge....

Get through it and reep the rewards

BugEyed 16 April 2002 08:23 PM

Richard

Good luck -it'll work out for the best. If you are as good as we believe, then you deserve better. If not, they would have caught up with sooner or later. ;)

Cheers

Duncan ;)

PS Networked PCs are a b*ast*ard aren't they!

My sympathies mate.

Mind you, someone parked in my space once - I didn't give him a pay rise this year....

yoza 16 April 2002 09:18 PM

Excuse my ignorance,
I didnt realise it was a proper payed job, thought you lot did it as a hobby:o
Keep your job by introducing a subsciption, shall we say £25 per annum I for one would gladly pay, only half a tank of juice after all.Am I on my own here or does any one else agree,it may keep the idiots away too:D

scooby-babe 16 April 2002 09:21 PM

I too wouldnt mind paying a yearly subscription(note spelling Mr Hughes);)......SO theres two up to now:D

johnfelstead 16 April 2002 09:35 PM

Dont let it get you down richard. It's just part of working life these days, you just have to see it as an ocupational hazard to not have an ocupation on occasion. ;)

You have a lot going for you right now. Lovely Fiance, top car, great mates and ginger hair (OK 3 things :D LOL).

There are tonnes of crappy moments that come in life, you just have to deal with them and make the most of the good stuff!

Been there done that and before you know it you'll be wondering what all the fuss was about! Now get stuck in and dont feel sorry for yourself, because that achieves nothing!

Best of luck finding a new job Rich.

Steve_F 16 April 2002 09:37 PM

Sorry to hear the news Richard, I wish you the best in finding something new.

I take it there are no "Sales Management" opportunties at Moby's at the mo then? http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/guin.gif ;)

Good luck M8

Sorry to hear that mate - the ONLY consolation is this :-

you're out of that sh1t-hole, Smethwick!!:D:D:D:D:D

I used to work there and I hated every second of it!!!!

Well done.

Just remember that when you leave, perform a nice brown, "walnut whip" in the MD's parking space!!! ;)

See you soon mate.
