Which Boost control unit.

Hi all

I am looking to purchase a boost control unit to my 2002 WRX. I am wondering what you guys have. I have had the Gizmo unit recommended ?

So - Manual or Electronic and make.

I did have a greddy profec type II b in my last car, found it far too complicated TBH.

Why ?

If you want more performance simply map the thing...

Unless you are running stupid boost ( like me ! ) the ecu can't run more than around 1.45 bar, my Defi used to read 1.7 bar but they are a bit over the top.

So you would reccomend a straight forward map and dyno then?

Well you wouldn't be able to up the boost without a remap anyway, else the engine will go pop.

Get it remapped, then you'll need bigger injectors, fuel pressure regulator, then you can think about upping the boost.

Dyno optional... But I will still ask what will you do with a boost controller ?

Screw up the boost and leave the fuelling std ?

No need for boost controller.
