The future of fun
Hi All,
Just alittle something to show you of something that Myself, Big Daz and Simb have taken up for alittle fun on track and of course off track. :notworthy The fun factor that you can get from something so small and cost so little is of course easy to cherish. If parts go wrong, you can find replacement parts from almost anywhere and they just cost peanuts. Power to weight ratio on these is unbelievable and think this is the way forward if your after something for fun.:D Insurance is around £120 fully comp for the year, fuel expenditure depends on the engine and size and the right foot:norty: Anyhow, here's some photo's we took this morning. My car : http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0407-1.jpg Daz's car http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0405-1.jpg Si's Car http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0403-1.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...R/DSC_0402.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...R/DSC_0400.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0398-2.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0397-1.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0396-2.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0408-2.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...R/DSC_0404.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...DSC_0399-2.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...R/DSC_0406.jpg |
They do look pretty but not my cup of tea, I've driven a few over the years but never really got on with them.
But what ever floats your boat |
Dan youve let me down come out with me i will change your mind in a flash. good pics matt had a good morning, it is def the best way to get over a hangover clears the cobwebs. They dont compare with a scoob on the straight but nothing beats it through the corners and everbody looks and waves wearever you go. for those that know me know i have wanted one for ages and i got lucky finding mine for very little money. track days to follow very shortly. and its the perfect excuse to not clean it you just want to get in and drive it at every opertunity. i hope you like guys i know there is three very happy men/children.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what exactly are these? Engine/Power/Weight/Rough cost?
Did you build them or buy them? Cheers. |

Did you build them or buy them? Cheers. The cheapest build cost I calculated was £5000 - £6000 for a Q plate, £10000 - £15000 for a new plate. |

Merv no the brakes arnt much better so i wont be following close to any one. Kev the heater is the exhaust on the right side and the gearbox on the left and the hat on your head and thats it but you dont need heaters when your having fun trust me. Calv yes it is slightly wider for my stealth like figure, i wanted a sylva stricker or raw stricker as there now known but you can only get small seats in them. in anto you q about price and such they cost what ever you want to pay im not commenting obn price but mine cost the least because its only got a 1600 pinto but matts has got 2tlr pinto and simbs has the 2.1 ltr pinto and trust me after driving his im changing mine to one of them its amazing. i wanted a cosworth turbo lump but i did some reserch and there really bad for traction and abit pointless all the power is waisted and you basicly just go in circles everywhere, but id still love one. price wise they do kits from about 1500 but you can find part builds for very little money but my advice would be to look for one that has been sva'd/iva'd because there a nightmare to get through and the price has gone up now to 500 to get them through. the price is abit more for one with iva/sva on but search because there are bargains out there we did and i def didnt pay that much for mine.:thumb: 2.1 here we come. |
Good pic's mate, a really enjoyed the drive and glad to say i'm getting a bit more used to the driving style change from the Scoob, not as fast in a straight line obviously but on the corners its a different ball game!!
Been umming and ahhring about getting one of these for years, gonna have some fun this year with it and decide then if its a keeper! Simb |

Well we went to llandow to see what was about, unfortunately the trackday was cancelled at the last minute. As we were leaving we spotted some more kit cars on a disused runoff. We were beckoned over and had a mooch and it was a local club that were holding a time trial day, we quickly signed on and had a few runs before the great British weather meant we had to leave early.
