MAF sensor most likely.

P1Drifter 08 March 2011 03:01 PM

plugs, leads ?

richieb1975 08 March 2011 04:23 PM

ive tried the maff sensor check where u unplug it while its running and it doesnt cut out, could it still be faulty??
i would of said plugs and leads but its too violent to be a miss fire and it only happens on full boost in gears 3-5

P1Drifter 08 March 2011 05:45 PM

possibly overboost and fuel cut then, do you have a boost gauge ?

richieb1975 08 March 2011 05:49 PM

yes i do and the boost is fine apart from when it judders but it does not over boost

drb5 08 March 2011 07:26 PM

Sorry, the car doesn't cut out when you disconnect the MAF? It's ment to cut out.

This doesn't always diagnose the MAF is faulty either way, so i would replace it anyway.

richieb1975 09 March 2011 06:01 PM

sorry i meant to put it does cut out,ive had the maf out and the metal bits inside are very dull when they used to be shiney

L.J.F 09 March 2011 06:26 PM

Change the maf then;) failing that try the following- plugs, leads, and clean boost solenoid.

richieb1975 12 March 2011 04:11 PM

maf done today and still the same so changing plugs tomorrow, just hope that works
