Anyone work for DLVA?

Back in 2010 I was waiting for the new 11 plate so I could buy WO11ETT & WO11ETS - Obvious it's my last name. DVLA said they would contact me when are avalible and would be £300 each.

About a week after the 11's became avalible I rememebered and jumped on their site to find they have sold them

I contacted them an they informed me that they were sold to a dealer to put on new cars and theres nothing I can do except wait until next year - if they are not used I could buy it then (double :razz:)

So, I'm wondering if anyone here works for the DVLA, and if allowed ;) see if the above plates are being used or not. If they are on cars - any ideas where. I'll buy the bloody things if I have to !

Thanks.

I'm suprised that anyone would admit to working for the DVLA its staffed exclusively by complete idiots - all IMHO.

go on askmid and put the details in and it will tell what cars they are on assuming they are insured.

I cant think of anyone with numbers in their name except Andre 3000 and Joe 90 :lol1:

Thanks for your replies... I did do Mid several times and it says not on the database, If a new car is sitting on a forecourt would the insurance come up?

And your right Terminator, I don't have 11's in my name but a lot of OO's and LL's & TT's ;)

:( There was one which would of looked very similar to my name using 11 instead of a U.

It was only about £150 but doesn't look like that is available now either.

"WO11ETT"

The registration number you entered doesn't exist in our database. Please call 0844 482 1948 if further investigation is required.

The 11 reg would spell my surname exactly (well if the ones were 'L's) It was £399
On the release day DVLA's network crashed, I had it in my basket and went to check out but someone beat me to it.

Its now for sale at £12,995 ....
