OZ Superleggeras

are they any good?
are they rare?
What offset do they need to be to fit an O4 WRX ?
Does anyone have any photos of them fitted on a blobeye?

They are sweet rims - dunno about any of the techy stuff though - sorry!

dunx 05 March 2011 12:48 PM

Mine are 8 x 19 ET 44 sorry no blobeye...

P.S. The 18" items don't clear Brembos, if you intend to upgrade the brakes...

See? Mmmmmmmm :notworthy I'd love some

Dave Y 05 March 2011 12:52 PM

Very nice.Do you know what offset they need to be for my 04 wrx?

SiV6Si 05 March 2011 12:53 PM

UK300 Blobeye
an my mate imran lmao

Dave Y 05 March 2011 12:56 PM

I have been looking at different wheels for a while.I have made my mind up i want a set of these, thanks for the pics.

dunx 05 March 2011 12:58 PM

Offset is only useful with the rim width, I.E. A 9" rim at ET 44 would need archwork...

A pal has 18" QZ ultraleggy's on his WRX but he had to add spacers to clear his "new" Brembos.

dunx

P.S. 8 x 17 would be a good track option... IMHO.

P.P.S. £600 and they are yours. Show use only, almost perfect.... given they are over three years old now. :lol1::lol1::lol1:

SiV6Si 05 March 2011 01:01 PM

Envelopes width between the calliper an wheel - with out.

Dunx 8J offset 48..Anygood to me?

dunx 05 March 2011 01:15 PM

Sounds O.K. will clear the arches on suitable tyres...

IMHO.

dunx

P.S. Mine have 235's and with the extra 4mm on the ET I had to "mod" my rear arches.

Dunx, are you sure that 18x8 with Et48 will need a spacer to clear Brembo's? i am tracking a gold set at the moment and dont want to waste paying out over £500 when they dont fit :lol1:

dunx 05 March 2011 01:18 PM

No I cannot confirm anything, but ask LeeP for his spec. I'm fairly sure he has 18" Ultras and Brembos with spacers

dunx

P.S. You can have mine for £500... 2.1 engine build to pay for :lol1::lol1::lol1:

P.P.S. Did you see the Prodrive headlights go for >£400 on ebay recently ?

L.J.F 05 March 2011 01:26 PM

Ok i will PM him and find out, cheers:)

what tires and size are they wearing? do you notice any difference when you drive with 19's on?

i have given up on the lights for the time being, need to get the car back on the road first;)

dunx 05 March 2011 01:33 PM

The lower profile tyres are stiffer, so the ride is slightly more harsh, and mid-corner bumps can tend to unsettle the car more, but it's not a big deal with 235 R888's on, as the grip levels are simply astonishing.

I took a WRX owner out, and where he expected me to brake I shifted up a gear and accelerated through a roundabout... Whilst he screamed like a girl and hung off the grab handle. :lol1:

dunx

P.S. GPS vs speedo has an error of 1 mph at the legal speed limit, so gearing is very close to std STI fitment.

i wonder if they are the same ones i am watching,Gloucester ??...

L.J.F 05 March 2011 04:18 PM

Yep they are the one's, she has turned down a cash offer of £480 and wants the auction to run as so many people have them watched! I wanted to go and collect today aswell...

Dave Y 05 March 2011 05:17 PM

i asked if i could have a look at them but she said she was away till tomorrow

L.J.F 05 March 2011 05:40 PM

Yeah she said that to me too mate, i will just wait til the auction finishes now and see how it goes as i wont go past £550-£600 as they might need new tires!

Dave Y 05 March 2011 05:51 PM

a couple need a refurb, then a set of tyres it coiuld turn out expensive. What would they be worth if they were in mint condition?

Dave Y 05 March 2011 05:56 PM

refurb plus tyres could end up expensive.I think Larkspeed do a package for approx £1000

dunx 05 March 2011 06:53 PM

Mine were just shy of £700 delivered...

dunx

Scooby1975 05 March 2011 09:43 PM

These are very expensive wheels, looking at £1550+ for 18s with decent tyres.

I looked at them but got some Rota's instead for a lot less.

Dave Y 05 March 2011 09:57 PM

i will wait and see how the auction goes.

dunx 06 March 2011 10:39 AM

Just to add that mine are lighter than the std. STI alloys.

dunx

Dave Y 06 March 2011 05:19 PM

i have tried to contact the seller on ebay so i could go and have a look. They said yesterday they wont be home till this morning. They still havent bothered to get in touch.I wont be bidding.Perhaps they dont want anyone to see them in the flesh so to speak before the auction ends,it makes you wonder

Ricky 06 March 2011 05:21 PM

Can you still buy them new ? I don't think you can but would like to be corrected as I always liked these wheels, and IMHO are one of the best looking wheels on an Impreza !!!!

dunx 06 March 2011 07:38 PM

Ultraleggy's are at a vast expense.

I took a spare set round to LeeP's today and he says there is a bidding war on his !

I showed him how my 19's look and he took them and his "new" six speed for a spin.

Good luck to whoever buys them.

dunx
