What colour Prodrive springs ?

Hi - I saw a set of Prodrive springs FS on SN the other week - they were Red, Rich found some on eBay for me but they are Bluish/Green in Colour :wonder:

The Prodrive website has a Red set on the Spring kit bit :wonder: no Blue by the look of it - What you reckon :wonder: Springs needed are for 2002 Sti Suspension.

Think early ones were blue si, probably run out of paint and changed to pink.:)

Simon, the following colours were used by Prodrive:

Blue - WRX suspension
Red - STi suspension

If anyone tells you anything else they are :cuckoo:

They arent split and if i remember correctly they will fit a bugeye
I seem to recall one of the boys sold his P1 set up to a guy with a UK300 and they fitted fine

Perhaps they can be bodged to fit but the lowering spring kits are definitely different between classics and newages, now are we talking about swapping out the complete struts inc springs or fitting springs to Simon's existing suspension. :brickwall

It is also worth remembering that the struts for a classic will have a different dampening rate compared to a newage car due to the difference in kerb weights.

Aren't those the springs that Prodrive install? ;)

They don't show the WRX springs which are BLUE and the STi springs are RED.

I had the Prodrive WRX lowering springs on my Hawkeye WRX and I have the Prodrive STi lowering springs on my Spec C. ;)

Yeah just fitting the springs, on the prodrive site there is also a specific spring ffor 02 Sti struts :wonder::wonder::wonder::wonder::wonder::wonder::w onder:

I just got the springs on my classic struts and they fit fine.

I've no doubt that physically they fit but they are not correct for your car, as I said earlier on the classic and newage Impreza's have different kerb weights and require dampening rates.

Have a look at the link below and I think you'll find different kits for the model types.

Simon, definitely go for the Prodrive springs if you can - the best ones on the market. I think Scoobyclinic were selling them a while ago for around £130 on offer. :)

Yes that would make sense, differing weight would need the right spring rate ;)

The Red P1 springs are made by Eibach and marked as Eibach. Eibach make springs for PRODRIVE and are marked as PRODRIVE .........................................
