Brembo front STi brakes (calipers, pads and discs) in great condition £450

6 Attachment(s)
I have a set of Brembo front brakes (Calipers, discs and pads and std hoses) off of a Hawkeye STi. There are in excellent order having been removed from a 3 year old car with only 18k Miles. The only reason that they have been removed is that I have an AP 6 pot set up fitted to the car.

£450 to an SN usuer + any postage costs (they are heavy and bulky!!) Collection from SE London if preferred.

Sorry, but I am unable to advise on Fitment.

N.B. I WILL ONLY DO BUSINESS WITH PAYING SN MEMBERS!!

BUMP - nice upgrade for someone with a WRX for not a whole lot of dough. To put it in context an AP upgrade will cost 2k+

New_scooby_04 04 March 2011 12:10 AM

Bump!

EmzWRX 04 March 2011 11:17 AM

Don't think they are any good for a WRX as they are 114 PCD, I need early STI ones to fit my Hawkeye else I would have had them! :D

Disc PDC drilling costs £30 :) I have hatch STi brembos on my classic, just got the discs drilled by a machinist to 5x100 and bobs your uncle :D

Not a bad price :)

Free BTTT

New_scooby_04 05 March 2011 11:40 AM

Ta mate,

BTTT. I had the PCD drilling done to make the AP kit that was fitted to my classic, fit on the hawk, so it can be done. Cost about £30 IIRC.

I have seen some kits on eBay sell for over £300, and yes less than the OP's ask, but at the end of the day you pay for what you get, and as these are off a Hawk im guessing they are anything upto 5 yrs old, where as some others inc eBay list then as Newage which means they could be 11yrs old!!!!!! So these are a serious selling point!!

Lets not forget that a Godspeed overhaul would set you back around £300 if you buy dud Calipers.. I bought a full set at a bargain price last year which had been completly overhauled at £470  which inc a classic conversion kit.

For what its worth I think the OP has listed this at a decent price, and he is prepared to ONO!

Free Bump :D

Rob

I based the price on what you'd pay if you got a second hand set form someone like Jap performance parts.

They are off a 3 year old car with only 18k Miles at the time they were removed!! You get what you pay for! :thumb:

You'd be mad to let brakes like this go for £300, especially if they were genuinely mint -I sold standard subaru 4 pots for that!

If someone offers you a deal for £300, bite their arm off whether you need em or not and then sell em for a couple of hundred quid more!

Someone on ebay offered me the asking price of £620, but unfortunately backed out when they realised how most postage to Greece cost!!!

Thats what I was getting at mate, I think for a set of front brakes that have covered 18K in 3 yrs for what you are asking is right on the money....

New Price £500 SN user only deal!

Bumpity bump! :D

Gazzy_b 30 March 2011 10:54 PM

Will these fit a Version 7 Bugeye STI Prodrive? (originals removed)

New_scooby_04 03 April 2011 05:35 PM

I'm here, I'm here. Been out testing the new build ;)

Sorry mate, I can't let em go for 480 and include the postage as that's gonna be expensive (if memory serves about 20 kilos plus in total) and it'd work out that I was actually getting about £450 or less for em and that's really too low. It's a crap time to sell I know, but I'm prepared to hold out for £500 plus postage.

Sorry! I do appreciate the offer though.

Best.

Paul

Ok i will pay half the postage, and i will give you £490. Post them by interparcel.com I think the weight is 19k. And that is really is my last offer. I really need to know A>S>A>P because i need to find a set soon as my build is about finished.

New_scooby_04 04 April 2011 06:20 PM

PS Bumpity bump! :D

B4D HK 04 April 2011 06:27 PM

sorry mate they are worth more than that, hold out :)

New_scooby_04 04 April 2011 06:54 PM

Yep, I agree. If you marched into somewhere like Japanese performance parts they'd want to relieve you of about £640.

Good brakes in good nick, but crap time to sell and I'm making it more difficult for myself by only doing business with SN members, but they're worth £500 + postage. I'm not going any lower than that. Would rather keep em as spares!
