how to fit a tdo5 to a my99 uk
 

ive bought a td05 wanting to fit it to my my99 uk turbo but ive noticed when it arrived that one of the turbos pipes (excuse the term) is on a 90 degree angle pointing upwards in stead of as mine is i straight exit heading for the airbox have i dropped a b*****k and bought the wrong turbo or can these be made to fit ive heard it said loads of times uk arshaving this turbo fitted so what am i doing wrong

sorry id missed it pal bloody iphone lol ive pmed him now does anyone have a pics of this conversion either fitted or not i have a idea what it looks very very interested

I enquired and i think it was about £80 for the front entry convertion.

what it is mate, is that the td05h came standard on 93-96 classics which used a different style intake pipe, the pipe joined the turbo on a 90 degree angle. the 97 onwards imprezas used a straight entry system so the intake pipe went straight to the turbo. because your turbo is off a older car it has the turbo cover for the 90 degree intake pipe. what all people do to make the turbos fit 97 onwards imprezas is swap the covers from top entry to front entry. andy forrest does these "front entry compressor covers", email him at info@andyforrestperformance.co.uk
