WR1/Prodrive downpipe cat heat blanket

Hi all,
I recently replaced the clutch in WR1 and on removing the downpipe I discovered the cat heat blanket was falling apart. This is same as fitted in the Prodrive PPP kits.

Should be like this.

This a bit of a long shot but does anyone know where I can get a replacement? They're not available from Prodrive or Subaru, although hundreds of WR1's were built and hundreds of PPPkits fitted! So much for support.

I may well have to wrap the downpipe with tape as last resort.

I aggree it's poor product support not to have such an item available.
You could either wrap with tape or get a heat blanket. Take a look on somewhere like Demon Tweeks for the blanket.

Yes I'm distinctly unimpressed by Prodrive. Spoke to their parts and sales guys but no good, just got referral to these guys who may have one from a broken WR1 http://www.adgespeed.co.uk/parts.asp should find out tomorrow.

Otherwise I'm going for the Generation II copper tape wrap from here http://www.lister.co.uk/Uploads/prod.../Thermotec.pdf their prices are the best I've found. It'll be a bit of a pain but with stainless steel locking wire and some clips I should manage it. Even so I regard this taping as long term temporary rather than fit and forget.

Cosworth have a product called Rhinoskin which is fitted to their Cosworth Impreza. It's a one piece wrap system for headers, up and down pipes. Downpipe wrap is £120.00 approx. They sent me a drawing to check the dimensions and it seems the cat is smaller on the Cosworth so theirs won't fit.
