Parrot RKi8400 - fully iPhone compatible H/U and hands free

I fitted this to my VW Golf, but then sold the car less than 2 months later. The scoob came with a good enough stereo, and my engine is way too loud to bother with a handsfree kit, so this has just been gathering dust.

It's an excellent car stereo, as well as being a fully functional, integrated handsfree kit that is fully compatible with the iPhone (not all are).

The removable face houses the 'brain' as it were, and behind it is a nice tray to put your iPhone / iPod or mp3 player. It will charge an iPod / iPhone, then give you full access to your music on the full colour screen (it'll even display album artwork).

As well as being a radio / media player, it's also a fully functional handsfree kit. You can dial from them keypad, or it has a voice recognition system for dialing numbers in your address book (it imports them the first time you connect).

I left the mic in the golf, but this can be bought for £15 from a number of online retailers. This connects with a simple jack into the back of the system.

Bought for over £240, i'm after £160 plus delivery, or collection from Peterborough.

The condition of the unit is excellent fully working order, with not a mark on it.

Will the handsfree work without the missing mic?

SkydiveMacca 22 February 2011 03:36 PM

You could hear them, but they wouldn't hear you. The mic can easily be bought online from a number of retailers, or even the lovely eBay for about a tenner :)
