Newbie 2002 bugeye impreza imobiliser problem
 

Hey guys, just gone to start my car and it wont start! Defo an imobiliser problem only had car 2 days so still getting used to it i've been unlocking the car using the blue subaru fob, key in ignition and press blue fob again and the car fires up, now i cant lock/unlock car using blue fob, when i put key in blue fob doesnt light up the red led and therefore the car wont start, when key is not in ignition the key light on dash flashes!

Can anyone offer some help please!!!! Need the car later and not just that i dont wanna leave it unlocked tonight!

Have you tried replacing the battery? Also try putting the key in ignition turn to start then press the button on key while its turned...

have you got a keypad, if so type in the password.

Thanks cap and taz, changed ther batteries and the last time i did it i entered the pin instead and it turned off the alarm siren and the engine started, thanks very much for the help... I do have one other question..... When I lock the car and the hazards flash with the doors locking i look through the window and the key dash light flashes intermittently and the red led on the dash does the same, is this correct???

One other thing the key has a remote built into it that hasn't worked when i opened up the keyfob the previous owner appears to have removed the battery, would there be a reason for this other than making it easier by using the blue subaru fob??

The Blue Fob style remote sender is a Sigma, and the key type buttons are what the manufactorer supply with the car. So basically the cars are produced and then a company basicaly supplied all cars in the UK with Sigma alaram systems. You will have a handbook with the 4 digit codes that can be used to re-programme the fob to the car, and if you want to add anymore 'like for like' fobs this can also be used with the keypad.

Thanks mate, so its not worth me sticking some batteries in the grey subaru key/fob, just stick to useing the seperate blue one? When the alarm is armed should the led flash intermittantly as well as the key logo on the dash??

Anyone know how to lock the car without activating the alarm?
