If you go down to the woods today...
...you will be in for a big surprise!
It looks much less gaudy in the flesh than in photos (luckily!) http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...och1961/P1.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...och1961/P2.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...och1961/P3.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...och1961/P4.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...och1961/P5.jpg |
Very nice mate, have you collected it then?
|
Looks amazing. Really like the paint colour, details. The colour of the accents/graphics/wheels looks a bit pink, but then it seems quite close to the calipers, so more like red?
Bonnet badge looks raised/enamel rather than a sticker now? What does the final weight come in at? |
Congratulations :thumb:
|
Nice, but wrong wheel drive.
:D |

Collect in two weeks - I didn't actually realise it has been in the window for about three weeks.
The red does not come out well in photos - in the flesh it is quite a dull red. 1380kgs I think - not worked out the option weights. It has carbon seats. Looks fantastic in the metal. Really stunning - I love it that the 911 is still a smallish car compared to it's peers. |
John,
here is the same wheel taken with flash - as you can see the photo colour is extremely susceptible to light. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...och1961/P6.jpg |

I won't be vulgar and ask how much but assuming it's easily a 6 figure sum :norty: Well, you're a long time dead, so if you have the resources - ENJOY :thumb: (be interesting on the School run - room for the kids) :D |
Very nice.
At least you won't lose it in the supermarket carpark :smug: (even during a power cut at night ;) ) is that a 993 GT2 I spy in the background?:) |
As I say - in the metal is really isn't as gharish as it is in the photos. I thought I would need sunglasses when I first saw it.
|
Is the 'red' in the wheels quite similar to this?
http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...nk_porsche.jpg If so ask the dealer for a complementary pair of these;) http://i1040.photobucket.com/albums/...5_24-02-10.jpg |
Stunning car although the comedy rear spoiler is
TX. |
I'm sure I've seen that front end before...
http://gallery.mg-rover.org/data/502...ver_BRM_LE.JPG :) |
I bet that spoiler actually does something at 100mph though , i wouldnt be leaving it dark multi storeys for very long mind
|
35kg downforce at 125mph apparently on the 996 GT3 RS.
|
It has 170kgs at 186mph - just where I need it!
Real, measurable downforce, unlike the 458 with it's imaginary downforce ;) |
Mmmm very nice. :)
How often are you going to be using it? Are you trading your current one in? |
The current one will be traded.
I had a buyer but after weeks of farting about he wanted me to warranty it (no problem) but completely failed to pay me a deposit. His last contact was a text asking if he could pay the deposit next week. Errr, no! So it is off to the OPC. I have probably lost a couple of grand out of that - but it needs warranty, tax and MOT, all on March 1st! |
Very nice. Are you going to be flinging this about at Elvington with reckless abandon too?:D
|
Absolutely stunning Trout..... just stunning. :thumb:

Actually quite good really and perfect timing. |
What's the red one in the top corner of the last pic? Looks a bit tasty :D
I hope it delivers, a lot of money and so high expectations? I am sure it will :D |
Do you think mine would compare if I take a pot of red gloss to mine ? :lol1:
That is sodding fabulous... dunx P.S. Makes my new mini-bus look rather tame, think I'll drop in for a look :thumb: |
Nice motor there Trout, fair play mate:thumb:
|
That is lovely Trout. I bet your like a dog with 2 dicks waiting to pick that up.
|
Well done
it looks better in your shots than the press photos hope you enjoy it :thumb: |
The red one is a 993 GT2 I believe!! Serious money. It is on loan to them for display.
Thanks very much for the comments. I am unfortunately massively busy with a new client so not so much time to think about it... ...but seeing it gets the juices flowing!!! |
