-Also got hold of my old 6 speed OEM gear knob & fitted
-Bought 3X used Sti wheels (had 1 spare lying around), they are slightly tatty but will do as a trackday/winter set & also come in handy when having my current gold Sti wheels sent away to be powder coated in Hyper Black ;)
-New Sti Floor Mats

Thanks for your help Russ, but I got the CDF Racing ALK a couple of weeks ago.

Not bad for a couple of hours work :) Fitted my Catch can, not plumbed in yet, will leave that bit to Rich! Was a bit of a PITA to fit as fixing bracket was on the wrong side as it was designed to fit on other side of car. Made up an extra bracket to go around can & chopped off part of the solenoid holder bracket to make space for it.

359M on mine, lovely ;) Summit Racing do one for similar money which are even harder with mostly metal, bar the rubber dust covers :cool: If I'd seen these before the 359M I'd have bought those :)

Let me guess, the catch can now leaks were you cut it and the solenoid will vibrate itself to death because you have cut the bracket:eek:

I didn't cut the Catch can though I probably have shaked the crap out of the boost solenoid while cutting off part of the bracket with my angle grinder!! lolol :D (I removed the bracket from the car first but forgot to remove the boost solenoid from the bracket!!)

Update:

Friday spent the day with Richard at FB Tuning who, as well as carrying out all the work below, also gave the car an overall inspection & gave the car the all clear. A relief as though I know a bit about cars & have been driving it for the past month, its a whole different ball game when you'v got a specialist like Richard going over the car while its on ramps. There were things that the previous owner had done that we weren't happy with & had to change & there were things that the previous owner had said he had done that we were able to confirm. Before I list the bits done etc let me just give the Scoobynet members a different insight into Richards attitude towards his work & the angle in which he tackles it. Its quite different to the way work is done in this modern "make a quick buck" day and age, let alone finding a Subaru specialist that works in this way, there are hardly any craftsmen/specialists out there in any field what so ever IMO that has his kind of ethos, work ethic & customer care.

Here are a few examples:

I wasn't at all happy with the previously installed hash of a breather system & asked him to change it with a catch can. He did not realise the extent of the job, but still as quoted did the entire job to what I would call perfection. Still he wasn't happy & was actually distressed at how the previous owner had made a bad job of it! Also he said he still can't leave it the way the previous owner had closed off the old breather outlets & will machine up some alloy turned bungs for next time rather than leaving it as it is!

While doing the full geometry he was trying hard to get each side to be almost exactly the same, after being 0.06 degrees out I was saying "that'l do, come on we'v been on it for over an hour now" but he wouldn't have any of it & carried on for another 45 mins until all four wheels were absolutley perfect!! The price was already agreed but he carried on none the less for 2 hours until he got ot the best anyone ever could!

Finally at 9.30pm after a full day's work & everything was done, he said he wants to make sure there are no issues with the map that was already on the car before I go. And to have a look at it see what to do for our next round of work which will involve mapping. The Clifford G5 alarm/immobiliser made it very difficult to try & access the ECU & after 30 mins I was ready to go home & hit the sack & I had only stood around all day!! He would'nt let it defeat him & said that we have to resolve this at some point so now is as good a time as any. Yes he cracked it & accessed the map, checked it & we talked about what needed to be done next time & what kind of map characteristics would suit the car. So finally at 10pm I set off home, god knows what time Richard left there, no doubt he probably went out mapping till 1am!! :lol:

-Oil, Oil filter change & check all fluids & top up if necessary (Millers CFS)
-Fit brake pads front & rear (EBC Blue NDX)
-Fit Anti Lift Kit (CDF Racing)
-Fit Camber bolts front & rear (Eibach)
-4 wheel alignment - custom setup
-Supply all hoses/adaptors top modify existing (VTA) breather system with Oil Catch can (3 port baffled)
-Fit passenger side roof trim strip
-As well as a few other small little jobs he did along the way without me asking

(nb: Changed in last year: Gearbox Oil; Rear Diff Oil; Brake Fluid. And Motul Inugel coolant will be done this year when I change to new 42mm core Alloy Radiator)

ps Forgot to mention it now handles like its on rails & round corners feels as planted as my Spec C on BC Coilovers. The only time the BC coilovers felt more planted were at higher speeds in a straight line. But the downside is they were nowhere near as comfy as current setup & coilovers cant go over bumps & yumps like I still can!
