For the rears, which dont take much of the braking force, I would spend about half that and get Godspeed's 1 piece grooved discs.
For the front then obviously go fancy with some PF 2 piece etc..

Discs, there are plenty pf good options. For pads I would go for Performance Friction, DS2000 or maybe the new Brembo ones Jura has mentioned but I would stay clear of EBC red stuff & Bluestuff NDX from past experience. (The Green stuff are not bad in my Honda Accord).

Engine mounts did'nt look too bad, gearbox mount looked more worn though.
Wheel bearing didn't need changing but turned out to be lose wheel hub, stag nut.
Car seat fixed too....Thanks all to Hughberry Vehicle Services.

ps once iv driven it some miles Il write some more feedback on uprated bits. But on the way home car felt: firmer & steadier at higher speeds on motorway & strangely enough, a much sharper turn in? (Almost Spec C like turn in, but better!) These engine mounts might be very good. But the most immediate difference I felt was a much more precise and easier gear change with less sloppiness. Mainly due to the shifter kit bushing I would imagine, though the gearbox mount must also help. I have also found that changing gear seems quicker / smoother on the gearbox / driveshafts with less overall drivetrain movement underneath. But a bit early to say for definite and hard to say what specific part caused what improvement.

How much did you pay for the mounts as I can imagine my 11 year ones being quite sloppy:wonder:

Approx £120 plus delivery. Though I would also get the shifter bush kit for another £15. But how to tell if the engine mounts actually need changing for certain? I think mine could have lasted for years to come. Saying that the Hardrace are going to be much better on track than 8 year old OEM ones.

I've already got the Perrin shifter bushes and whether or not there's any life left in them they've had over 50k's worth of life taken out so a change won't hurt:norty:

Brakes first though and I'm looking very favourably towards the Cosworth streetmaster pads for road use and trackmaster when I get it on the track (Middlesexring:norty:)

Congratulations on your new arrival mate, the baby that is lol. I have also just bought some Brembos for my bug and have gone for Aztec Performance cross drilled and grooves discs with Performance Friction pads. Wasn't too impressed with my current four pot Godspeed grooved discs and Kevlar pads so fingers crossed they Aztec will be better. I have also got HEL braided lines and better brake fluid.

Any cross threads whilst doing the mounts Ricky ;)

TBH mate from what I have seen the Aztec stuff is pretty average at best. I wouldn't put anything drilled on the front either - prone to cracking and any decent supplier would know that and advise you:wonder:

They are bought now and sitting at home so will see how they go. I'm not doing any track days so think they will be fine. As said didn't think much of the Godspeed discs so wanted to try someone different.

Looking forward to your more detailed feedback/review on the Hardrace Engine and Gearbox mount,but for now looking like is good buy,we are at moment running GrpN engine mounts which are OK.

About the drilled and grooved discs,we are run before on our wagon Drilled and grooved disc which has been OK,as most companies using for their Drilled/grooved disc Pagid disc..

Was thinking of getting a 24mm adjustable rear anti roll bar as I did before on the Spec C. Not so necessary now but more so when the Coilovers are fitted. But not to keen on £150 upwards for a Whiteline one which was just ok quality wise. I had an almost new standard one that I took off my Spec C, it is also approx 19.5mm diameter. This is the same as currently on my JDM Sti though this one is now badly corroded and the bushes are knackered.

So I took the nearly new Spec C ARB, drilled two new holes nearer the insides (not an easy or quick task :freak3: )to make it adjustable & stiffer once fitted in these new holes. Whether the ARB and drop links will actually sit properly in these nearer holes I wont know till I try to fit. The aftermarket adjustable ones may be longer to accommodate the extra holes?. I then painted it in Brembo-ish Hammerite Gold paint and bought some new Super Pro Poly bushes. Will update if this actually fits and if so how much effect it has.

Got bored today, so I cleaned all the threads on the nuts and bolts for the ARB brackets to reduce any chance of cross-threading, and also cleaned up and repainted the ARB brackets for you:thumb:
