camber kit impreza classic
 

does anybody know where to get cheap camber kits either the bolts or the plates in the uk? i found cheap kits on ebay from usa but thought maybe theyre available in uk. i need a camber kit because ive got lowered suspension and im getting inner tyre wear, i changed both front ball joints and had the tracking done but i can still see negative camber on the front wheels ive heard its a common problem with lowered suspension.

The fronts should have camber bolts in there already, maybe they were put back in with them set to fully negative camber after the suspension change.

ah ok cheers yes thinking about it now i remember the bolts on the front suspension being odd shaped but didnt know why so thats how you adjust the camber they must be set wrong. so if the ones i have when set to full positive arent enough to correct the wheels can i put another set of bolts in the other hole or only 1 bolt per strut?

Two bolts in each, Upper and lower.

i just adjusted my top bolts to maximum positive camber and now the wheels look straight or close enough. i asked an ebay seller about the eibach camber bolts and he said you cant adjust the bottom bolts only the top the bottom bolts are just to pivot.

You can remove the standard bolts and replace them with camber bolts for even more adjustment if you need more.

There are two bolts on each corner.
Rears are both normal straight bolts.
Fronts have 1 camber bolt and 1 straight bolt on each.

yeah i know theres 2 bolts per strut 1 top 1 bottom and on the fronts the top bolt is a camber adjuster but i was talking about the bottom bolt on the front struts and the ebay seller said theyre just straight bolts and that i cant put adjustable camber bolts in, but thinking about it the way the top bolts work it should be the same on the bottom as long as the hole through is the same size if its smaller then you wont be able to, thanks anyway.

The hole is smaller, but the adjustable camber bolts you buy aren't as thick as the standard adjustable ones.
The knuckle is instead near the middle only which enables movement to give more or less camber.

ah ok cheers thats good to know and glad somebody knows about these things, ill see how it looks for a week then if it still looks negative ill get the other bolts for the bottom holes but i have the top standard bolts set to maximum so might be ok since its not a major drop its only about 40mm id say because you can get a finger between the tyre and arch.

you could do with setting it up properly with a camber gauge

ok, yeah was guna get a lazer wheel alignment done to see how it is but now i have the new front tyres on and dont want the same thing happening again (inner tyre wear) ive set the camber bolts to maximum so should be a lot better also just put in 2 new ball joints. ive seen eibach bolts on ebay for £20 how much are the whiteline ones? anyway it might be ok now, i think it was all caused by the bolts not being set when the suspension was put in also the old ball joints to and tracking was slightly out ill see how it goes.
