for £50K ...get a 2nd hand GTR with change :)

greatgonzo 14 February 2011 07:45 PM

I must agree with Bighead, GTR all the way the scoob is not even in the same league :freak3:

stevebt 14 February 2011 07:51 PM

8 years paying for a car! I would rather buy a white hatch STI and mod it a little to say 500bhp and have a huge chunk of money spare :)

s70rjw 14 February 2011 09:08 PM

If performance car prices continue to fall at the current rate, what will it be worth at 3 years old? More than the £22k balloon payment you will still have outstanding? By then you'll have paid out £23364 in monthly payments + 10k deposit= £33364 add the £22k balloon payment to make a Dunx Family Fortune of:

£55364 (Fifty five thousand three hundred and sixty four pounds!!!!!)

The 60x 400 will cost you £2k more taking the price over 7 years to £57,364 (fifty seven thousand three hundred and sixty four pounds!!!!!)

Thats a lot of cash for a car that will have around 100 bhp less than the current Dunxmobile......

From what I've heard maybe closer to 130bhp less ;)

If your happy buy it, if your not don't :D

BUT I certainly wouldn't buy before trying it,

pig in a poke comes to mind :p

TheVoices 14 February 2011 09:40 PM

Is the £22k a guaranteed end value or a true 'balloon' ?

Either way a fairly scary 'predicted' value for a £50k limted production run car !

JonMc 14 February 2011 09:42 PM

I know where my £57k would go:D

juggers 14 February 2011 09:58 PM

Yes, try upping your dose to 100mG 3X a day. If symptoms persist consult a doctor without delay.

At the prices quoted here Immy i think they should consider "Buy one, get one free"

Ridiculous

Littleted 15 February 2011 08:15 AM

Dunx 2 options here. Saloon or hatch 2011. Ring alan get block done to 500

But it wont be collectors obviously

Gtr and leave scoobys

If your set on the cossi. Ring mkar in rochdale speak to chris and ask him for a quote through alfera finance

What your putting down etc nearly hits the saloon ok maybe 37k ish

I pay 589 a month with a 6k balloon with a handback at 3 years unlimited miles but ill buy it before that

Mines over 5 years

bunsofsteeeel 15 February 2011 08:25 AM

A rule my parents always told me

but alas this day and age people dont wont or cant, and having a spare 50k around probably puts the chances of that at 1% in these forums.

I agree though for a 10k car maybe buy it fbut for 20 30k plus it would be hard :/

Is it as little as 5? Doesn't surprise me really. The hatch is hardly a runaway sucess in any other guise, economy faltering, petrol going through the roof etc.etc.

My feelings are if they have only sold 5 out of a limited run of 75 then the car is never going to be desirable and all you have is a mini XJ220 fiasco happening.

Walk away as they will be seling them off for less than £40K before long and will be worth £30K or less in 12 mionths time.

Yes and mine or on a sh 911 c4 and not a bland looking, overpriced hatchback with a Cosworth Badge on it. I would rather have a 22B and 30 in the bank!:)

Aztec Performance Ltd 15 February 2011 10:50 AM

£50k and it doesn't even have a front mount :D ;)

Here's what you get for your 50k

http://photos.evo.co.uk/images/front..._372331_25.jpg

IMHO, despite the fact that it'll be a fine car in and of itself, when you look at the alternatives it's an underwhelming, underpowered, overpriced PR exercise.

It will also be left in the wake of any decent 2.5 forged conversion by a reputable specialist..... Like mine for example ;) which, including the donor hawkeye, cost half the price!!

Worst of all, this is one cossie that won't ever attain cult status, so won't hold it's value!

IMO Avoid! Spend that kind of money on a Skyline, or go and give Mr Litchfield a knock and pocket the 10-15 grand you'll save!

Kosy 15 February 2011 11:30 AM

Dunx - don't do it. That's crazy money for a car that is basically a disappointment.

I personally wouldn't have a GTR at that money either. Not unless you have a lot of money sitting for a rainy day. Have any of you seen the parts and servicing costs?!! Shocking.

I would get a second hand 911 GT3, Turbo or wait a year and get an R8.

plus you don't loose 5k as soon as you drive those off the forcourt. For the price of 2 22b's then, s much as i love scoobs, it just doesn't give you value for money

Terminator X 15 February 2011 01:32 PM

You'd be :cuckoo: IMHO & I'm hoping that this is just a trolling post :lol1: where will you find £22k after 3yrs ... not from the car!

TX.
